Today’s consumer doesn’t consider a food sustainable just by its ingredients, but by the impact it has from sourcing to disposal. According to the International Food Information Council’s 2019 Food and Health Survey, more than 60% of young consumers are aware of the implications their food choices have on the environment, and food companies are evolving to meet new consumer standards by investing more money than ever into telling the food sustainability story.
